A bookkeeping blog, huh? Sounds kind of…well…interesting and maybe a little boring, yea? I’m here to hopefully crush that stereotype and keep things lively & interesting. I hope to provide content about small businesses and bookkeeping and help reach further into the corners of the business world. Do I know everything? Absolutely not!! But I hope to share the knowledge that I do know and provide some tips & tricks along the way.
Now, who am I and how am I qualified for such a thing you may ask!
My name is Ashley and I am the owner of Golden Peak Bookkeeping, LLC! I recently moved to Brockport, NY (right outside of Rochester) after traveling in a camper for the last 5 1/2 years, so I’m likely the newest Brockport Bookkeeper!
For the boring stuff:
I have a Bachelors in Accounting from Indiana University. My bookkeeping and tax prep experience comes from time spent as an associate of a CPA Firm. I am a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and do have experience in tax. Although my firm does not prepare tax returns, we are able to provide clients with insight on how transactions are tracked for tax purposes!
I am also the owner of a successful photography business & 3 online boutique stores powered by Etsy & Shopify. With this invaluable experience I can connect with creative entrepreneurs and am knowledgeable in how these businesses operate and work with QuickBooks Online.
What can you expect out of this blog? Little tips & tricks about running a successful business, things to look out for when hiring a bookkeeper, and other ways to better yourself which in turn betters your business!
